Buffalo Brain builds internal platforms, workflow applications, integrations, APIs, and AI-enabled systems around the people and processes that depend on them. We start by understanding the operational problem and deciding how much software you need to solve it.

Who this is for

Custom software can make sense when your team has a recurring need that existing tools do not handle well. Common starting points include:

  • A business process that depends on spreadsheets, email, and repeated data entry.
  • Systems that hold useful information but do not exchange it.
  • An internal tool that has become difficult to maintain or adapt.
  • An AI prototype that needs to become a usable application connected to your business systems.
  • A workflow that requires more control than your current software allows.

We look at what you already use before recommending a build. Configuring an existing product, adding an integration, or simplifying the process may solve the problem with less work.

What we can build

  • Internal business applications. Tools for managing work, approvals, records, or reporting around your team's responsibilities.
  • Integrations and APIs. Connections that move information between systems and reduce repeated handling.
  • Workflow platforms. Applications that support a process from intake through completion, including exceptions and handoffs.
  • Updates to existing systems. Targeted improvements that make useful software easier to operate and extend.

We include AI where the task benefits from it and the results meet the agreed requirements.

How the work happens

We begin with the people doing the work. Together, we map the process, identify constraints in the existing systems, and define what a successful first release needs to do. We agree on scope, responsibilities, and acceptance criteria before implementation.

During delivery, we review working software with you and test it against representative tasks. That gives the people who will use the application a chance to identify missing steps or awkward interactions while we can still address them within the agreed scope.

We plan deployment and handover alongside the build, including access, configuration, documentation, and operational ownership. We agree on any data migration, third-party costs, and ongoing maintenance the project requires.

What you receive

The agreed application or integration, testing against the acceptance criteria, and the documentation your team needs to use and maintain it. We explain remaining limitations and follow-up work so you can decide what to tackle next.
